WI "the Race" are aliens from Melmac?

How would "World War" have played out differently if the WW2-era earth was being invaded Alien Life Forms from the planet Melmac? They've got the same thing in mind as the reptiles--conquer territory, although they'll be a lot more wisecracks and one-liners involved.

well on the military aspect
if you ever watched the cartoon alf you get to see a little more about there technology and society.

they are more advanced in many ways but less advanced in computer tech witch explains there rather lousy targeting computers.
also almost all of there weapons are of non lethal nature.
and finaly with there planet about the same size as earth it has a rather low population density by atleast a factor 20 in our favor.

as for the species it self they are sorther physically weaker both quite alote
also seem to have alote lower pain tollerance as the average human and need alote more substinace (witch means more supplies) possibly caused by a higher metabolic rate, witch might mean they can atleast be some what faster than the average human but there short and sturdy build suggest not to much stamina witch means that if they are faster than it can be only burst wise so no staying power.
they have thick fur and most have quite a fat lair so they can porobarly deal better with cold but much less well with heat.

my conclusion if those aliens would invade earth it would be a rather unsuccesfull invasion

given that the melmacites don't have the lizards's insane conservatism expect a longer war. The resutl wouldn't bein any doubt: human victory. The humans likely steal enough melmac technology to be able to make life VERY hard for the residents of melmac. This would probably end with an american pilot screaming "REMEMBER WASHINGTON" as he fires the planetbuster at melmac.
