The challenge is to have Vikings in Vinland ally with the Amerinds, lead a force of them back to Europe and establish a state like Normandy.
POD between 900 and 1155.
Pseudo-cash and no-prizes if you make them masters of Europe with reasonable plausibilty

My "Vinland -the bountiful refugee" TL futher down has some of the the Norse settlers joining in the formation of the Iroquis confederacy, or something similar to the Five Nations, afer the disease butterflies settles.
Sadly, the time is closer to 1400.

It would have to be, yes.
Strange, why does it seem there was actually a good deal of ferment and changes among Amerinds just prior to European discovery? The western tribes were moving around a good deal at this time too, weren't they?
Oir is that just coincidence, they were always moving but no record was made since the Europeans weren't here?

It is not so much general moving around, as there seemed to be something of a transition phase going on.
The "League for Peace and Protection", the Incas starting up in South America...a lot of the more Bronze Age attitude empires was going, but at this time there seems to have been a different...philosopical grounding for nations emerging.
After about 1300 the climate changed for the worse. A lot of turbulance could result from that.
The Iroqis league, I'd be tempted to guess that as a number of Greenlanders tried to make the move to Newfoundland as the climate worsened, some of their ideas may have survived, even if they did not. But the Incas and the rest of it...didn't get inspired from anywhere else.
