ecological disaster would be the first affect. Areas that were seacoasts are suddenly isolated in the middle of the new supercontinent. Animals that were unique to one continent suddenly are unleashed to go anywhere they please. Lions wander into the great plains, and grizzlies visit Africa. Australia's maruspials vanish as they are inundated with placental mammals. Diseases once restricted to a single continent are now able to move anywhere... distemper, hoof and mouth disease, rabies, and mad cow disease wipe out billions of animals all over the world. Are we assuming that the ASBs redirect all the rivers to go to the ocean, or does the Nile suddenly empty out onto Europe?
And then there's the humans... mass hysteria, shrieking dementia, naked looters, prophets of hellfire and doom, all of that....

Don't forget the political aspect. How would stop countried like India and China from expanding and taking the whole continent and don't think that they wouldn't try either.

And with no atlantic ocean, the poor from Africa could just walk into the US, If Whe have a Problem with the Short Mexican Border, what the entire east coast as a border with Africa..........

OTOH I think whe just solved our Cuba Problem.

If this happens in a GOP controlled white house era expect the US to bioengineer viruses targeting nonwhites and release them

Well, they don't IOTL, do they? Of course, the US would be hit by the change very hard, but so would both of 'em...

Other consequences:

- Trains would become more important, since you can use them to go in short time from, let's say, London to New York now.
- Ships OTOH would become much less useful. Especially since you can transport oil from the Gulf to America with pipelines now.
- Would Japan still be an archipelago, or would they share a border with China now? (I know many people who wouldn't like that idea!)

Dubbya Bouche is racist, I'd say. But it's more a low-grade, common man's racism.
