A mindless clone, programmed to absolute obedience to her/his owner, becomes available. She/he looks like anyone you like and functions like a real woman/man in all respects, though she/he cannot, of course, get pregnant. She/he costs about $20 and doesn't eat (though she/he does have to be recharged for about 30 minutes at a plug daily). She/he can be programmed with any and all sexual techniques and abilities known to man and quite a few new ones. She/he does not age or change, after 10 years you turn him/her in at the factory for a new one. For a complicated set of reasons, the ability to have one or more is recognized and protected as a fundamental human right by all governments

What happens? does humanity basically die of bitchiness because sex has always been the only real thing keeping us together and making us raise children?

Nicely said duQuesne.

As for me, I'll have those four femmebots that Robert Palmer has on 'Addicted to Love'. And for my bodyguards, I'll have those guys Shania Twain has on 'Man I Feel Like a Woman', though I would feel queasy of them hitting on me (me being a man, of course). What the heck, I'll take Palmer and Twain too!!!:D

It'll be the end of the human race. Why bother going out and dating and dealing with all the hassles of that, when you can have your very own sex clone of whatever celebrity you want?

Only until the first law suit. However, you are saying 'looks like' which doesn't make it a clone, which would be an exact duplicate.

Ah Futurama... 'I don't know, your house is all the way over there and my Monroebot is here...'.

I suppoe the topic title does say mindless clones so we can assume they will be fairly robotic and lacking in personality. Could be good for society- will kill off the whole clubbing and one night stand thing in exchange for some greater form of evening entertainment.

Lol.

The religious right rule the world (take that!) We want to have children, dang it.

You only start a family if it happens by accident? That's a horrible way to look at it. You have a chance to continue your bloodline and add your traits to the gene pool. Pick the best mate you can get and have kids.

Still... can these clones fight? Can I raise an army? That would be interesting.

Prepare for the Clone Wars!
