WI, as we wake up, we discover lightning hitting the ground 26 times in a row. Suddenly, a giant tripod appears where the lightning hit. What happens next? Would you, personally, survive the alien onslaught?

Given my job, I would probably die while trying to resuce others, which is the exact thing I expect in any diaster movie type scenario.

Stock food, grab sharp melee weapons and firearms of all kinds, get underground and survive for a few days.

Come out, the world has been mauled, but hey, I'm alive!

In a disaster, its all about getting supplies, getting in the right place, and waiting it out.

I deal with the stupidity of my fellow man. ;) :p

I work in a high stress, highly skilled, highly technical line of work that offers long hours, low pay, little respect from the public at large and little chance for advancement.

Thats right. I am a Paramedic. So, in the case of a volcano, tsunami, class 5 hurricane, earthquake, WMD attack or alien invasion, I would probably be among the people who die rescuing others either too unfortuanate or too stupid to get out of the way.

Find Steven Spielberg! Actually, I would be caught between tripods coming out of San Francisco in the north and Los Angeles and San Diego in the south, so I might be a little too busy to do that. Pretty much, my neighborhood would be screwed. I'd have 20-30 tripods crawling over a small town.
