In honor of the just-completed World Baseball Classic,starting tomorrow I'm going to run a virtual tournament featuring some of the most celebrated major league clubs from the past 100+ years.Here's how it's going down:
1)Each decade will be represented by four teams,two AL and two NL;
2)the tournament will be played under a single-elimination format;
3)Teams will be seeded in reverse chronological order of when they played(i.e. the most recent teams will get the top seed,the second-most recent get the #2 seed,etc.)
4)For the sake of fairness,all games in a given bracket will be held in a single stadium:
National League bracket venue--Bank One Ballpark
American League bracket venue--Ameriquest Field
