WI: ASBs Change everyone over night

Someone posted this on my forums and i wanna see the reaction here,

all people on this board become the opposite gender with the same physical traits as in blue eyes, blonde hair, etc

In other words as a woman will my thinking be a bit more people oriented and a bit less analysis oriented than when I was a man? Will I be a bit more bothered by the house being untidy? Will I be able to remember where I left stuff around the house? And will I now find the male body more attractive than the female body?

So basically we have males, with male brains, in female bodies and females, with female brains, in male bodies. Okay.

People will want some sort of explanation for this weird event.

I think the more liberal religious types will interpret this as an act of God, designed to show us that gender is unimportant, or is no longer important, and probably also as a sign of some kind of new order - the End Times or the Age of Aquarius or something.

The more conservative religious types will interpret it as an act of Satan designed to confuse everyone, and definitely as a sign of the beginning of the End Times. They will insist that the new-females are actually still males in God's eyes and so they should still be in charge according to the Talmud/Bible/Koran.

As for the non-religious types, some of them will become religious (I'm sure a wave of religious fervour will sweep the earth after this sure sign of supernatural intervention) and some of them will embrace pseudo-scientific explanations, for example, that we are living in a Matrix style virtual universe.

The immediate problem on the day after the change will be - what to wear? None of your old clothes will fit you properly! What would you wear?

I think some people will jump at the chance to dress in a different style. Certainly if I woke up as a women I would go wild experimenting with different outfits and hairstyles (I'm not a transvestive, but if you had a woman's body that would be different, wouldn't it?). I think over time womens clothing will become more drab and utilitarian, while mens clothing becomes more colourful and daring. I wonder some of the new-males will wear dresses and skirts? Make-up and lipstick? I'm sure they will shower more than the old males did!

Relationships will be in trouble when people are no longer sexually attracted to their partner.

Chingo - the chemicals that determine people's sex drives are generated in the genitalia. Will we see new-women wanting sex less often than they did when they were men, and vice versa? In other words will the new-males be having more sex (with each other) than the new-females?

Well, I don't know what the situation is where you are, but here in the UK there is nothing to stop women being firefighters, or anything else.

New-women who were firemen are trained professionals. I'm 100% certain they will go back to work as firefighters on the Monday after The Switch and policemen, soldiers, builders, professional footballers etc. will all go back to their jobs too. No matter how weird things are, life must go on.

Over time you will see more new-men entering these professions. I think the sort of discrimination on the grounds of gender and sex orientation that still exists in our society will entirely vanish after The Switch (although not in those nations that are convinced Satan was responsible).

I thought of something else. If most people are now attracted to the same gender, the birth rate is going to crash and the population is going to start declining rapidly. Perhaps some governments will decide to do something about that. They could encourage the former homosexuals - now heterosexuals - to have lots of children or they could somehow try and encourage people to be more bisexual.

Chingo - when does this happen? Does it happen simultaneously all over the world (e.g. at 3am in New York and 8am in London) or at the same clock-time everywhere (e.g. at 3am in New York and 3am in London). And at what time does it happen? The reason I ask is that I'm curious to know whether I would be asleep in bed and not find out until I woke up, or whether I would be in town surrounded by people?

1am everywhere, so I guess everyone this side of say, India, gets to know what's coming. That's good. Otherwise you'd wake up an you'd have no idea this had happened to everyone. First you'd think you were dreaming. Then you'd think it was just you. You'd probably be too embarrassed to tell anyone.

Locker rooms is not a problem, if they have toilets everyone just switches (cos you need the right toilets) otherwise keep them as they are.

As far as sport goes . . . well, if I were running the school I'd let pupils choose to do whatever sport they wanted.

The ones hardest hit, mentally would likly be the ones who has masculinity/femininty incorporated most deeply into their self-image.

As stated, jocks, cheerleaders, bikers, etc. Some cultures also assign traits heavily based on gender. Macho latin, deeply religous ones, etc. They would be in trouble.

People with more intellect-based self images and egalitarian cultures would probabaly come out of it better.

Never having met any, I can't comment from personal experience. T'vegan propaganda machine is quite adept at covering up the downsides of veganismm. As if a way of life that's so bloody rare has downsides that'll detract from its tiny appeal. ;) :rolleyes:

My last gf, J, (a veggie) had small breasts - but that was a result of malnutrition growing up. Even so, she had larger breasts than her predecessor, K (an erstwhile ballet dancer). Both had/have low fat intakes . . . *realises his next gf should have a name beginning "L."

I can't say low iron's ever bothered me, Chingo. But I'm told it should. meh . . . been vegan for 9 years. Should have died by now if there were anything seriously wrong with it.
