My apologies for the board being down for over two weeks. Unfortunately not only has it been down, but the entire week's messages from before it went down are lost.
What happened was that the internet provider who had been hosting the site went out of business with no warning. Unfortunately this caused the loss of nearly a week of messages since I was only doing backups once a week. Also I was on vacation in Spain when the site went down, and so I couldn't even start to restore it until I got back a couple of days ago.
Again, my sincere apologies for the inconvenience and the lost messages. Essentially the worst that could possibly happen, happened at the worst possible time.
I am taking the following measures to make such problems less likely in the future:
1. I have switched to a much more reliable internet provider that is not likely to suddenly go out of business.
2. I am switching to daily backups, which will be forwarded to another web site so that I can access them even when I am not at home.
