Napoleon and possibly others brought an ultralight aircraft along!
Much of our scouting and exploration is not needed! We could get proper topographical maps and such over an area 15-20 miles square on less than fifty gallons of gas.:(

I dismiss that with we need to look at many of the trails, trees, minerials, and farm land up close. We needed to vist many of these sites on foot...

Yes, they would be nice for scouting for clearings, but we need a ground expedition for surveying the resources and soil at those sites. I did not realize they had brought them, must have missed them, also.

Yeah, it's also lying in the wreck of his wagon in some gully somewhere we don't know. He headed of by himself (with his supermodel wife) very early on, like first day I think.
