I'm pretty much computer and internet illiterate. Occasionally, I'll look through the 'Who's on-line' list and see like 30 listings for 'google spider'. What is that? Some kind of search engine?

IIRC, its a kind of program that's part of google that basicly searches out the sites.

www.google.com is a very nice search engine (basically the best, and it is used for roughly half of all web searches).
A spider is a program that a search engine uses to follow links on the web. It is automatic, it just goes endlessly around following links, to build the search engine's knowledge of the pages.

There's probably a RAID spray for them. Although it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels computer illiterate. But if you're having problems with undocumented 10 Statement FORTRAN or FORTRAN 77, I'm available per diem as a consultant. Blast the mysteries of PHOTOSHOP!!
