Great Britain and the Ministry of Space

Ministry of Space is a comic written awhile back. The story is set in a world where soldiers and operatives of Great Britain reached the German rocket instalations at Peenemunde ahead of the US Army and the Soviets, and brought all the key personnel and technology to England. Then Lancaster bombers blew Peenemunde up, destroying everything they could not take.
One thing the comic points out is that much of the funding came from Jewish gold taken from the Third Riech.

Britain is the first into space and on the Moon if you remember the story.

No doubt they share these toys with the Americans who use Von Braun's knowledge and access to captured V-2 Rockets to build their own space program. The result is that the British and the Americans collaborate in space.

They actually use the technology to one up the Americans and Soviets. England got to keep its Empire and remain a world power.
