I've decided that future history and alternate history in fictional worlds (e.g. "what if Luke hadn't destroyed the Death Star" shall be on-topic on this board, so they don't have to be discussed in Chat.
Future history discussions go in the "After 1900" forum, provided they do NOT include debates on present-day politics which is off topic.
Alternate histories set in fictional worlds such as Star Wars go in the "Alien Space Bats and Other Magic" forum.
