what does 'active members' mean?

Sorry if it's a dumb question but I notice that we have about 450 active members. Does this mean these are members who have posted/logged in the last 60 days or something like that?

Hey--1/3 of our roster actually log in every month--anybody know if that is low or high for a forum?

Pretty high for many of the larger forums with similar numbers of registered users, I'd say, DW. Usually seems to be far lower %. Must be doing something right here.
