Can we delete threads?

I remember when the Mosaic Earth moderators were given the power to delete threads, it seemed very unfair that they could delete something which might have an answer/reply in that you'd spent ages researching and writing.

I try not to do that unless it's needed. I see stuff like that as part of the "History" of ME. Unfortunatly when Aussey gained Moderator powers, he merged a whole bunch of older Mosiac Earth threads into one monstorious thread called "ME5 history." I have yet to discover a method to undo this, but would like to do so very much.

That would require that you knew where every single one came from and essentially move a post from 'History' to the approiate threads..

Split Threads...but it would take forever...

And the ME5 Thread is a mess... for example, there are posts from SME in there! (Look for a country called "Telemysia" posting somewhere)

Seriously, I see no point in deleting threads.

I did it once! All you have to do is click "search thread" and find what you need...

I want to delete a thread of mine. I showed it too my English teacher and he recommends that I publish it. Now I'm worried I can't cause it's on the web...
