Ok, This shared earths thing, anyone want to lay it out for me? What it is exactly, what they're doing on it? I'm really not seeing anything that says 'This is how this is played'

So do I have to pre-create countries for ME and post them some time before a new ME game starts, or can I post it for the first time when a new game begins?

Also, how exactly do I take the white map and make a map for my own timelines?

Yep, you have to manage to get your country in before the game starts, though you can post it for the first time when the new game begins...

As for the map, just open it up in paint....

I don't have the program 'Paint'. their a mac equivilent I can use?

Also, can you make up types of weapons/classes of ships/styles of tanks/ect. and so on as long as they arn't more advanced than of the time when game takes place?

For Macs I think they're a corel painting program out there, somewhere.

there's also this, The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) it's kinda like photoshop, but free.

So long as they obey the tech limits, yes, you can make up those things.
