After Ulysses S. Grant takes over the Army of the Potamac, assume that the entire army, including enough supplies to fight one major battle are ISOTed to the year 1814, about two weeks before the British arrive to burn down Washington DC.

What happens.

Well, I'm no expert on the war of 1812 but here's my take on it..

Grant's men have a stunning technological advantage in thier muskets. I believe they all have rifles and minie balls, not to mention percussion caps. This means a stunning rate of fire increase. Not to mention the AOTP was huge and Grant wasn't afraid to take casualties.

So yeah the Brit's get their asses kicked and Grant immediately goes on somewhat of a counter-offensive. American industry begins to switch over to the 1863-ish technology. It might however take Grant a while before he goes on this counter offensive. Most likely he'll wait untill he has his supply lines completely formed and has plenty of ammunition and powder.

The Brits however seeing how their army was slaughtered by the blue clad Americans will be eager to offer peace. Will the Americans accept it? Seeing that they have plenty of new soldiers and their capital is in pretty good shape. Grant's counter-offensive would no doubt drive the British off the continent. The war would quickly develop into a Whale/Wolf affair with a truce being organized sometime after the Brit's exodus from the continent.

Then America goes imperialistic big time...
