What do ppl reckon ? Would you guys classify the TERMINATOR series as old FH which is AH now, in terms of the alternate scenarios presented vis-a-vis Skynet becoming independent, nuking human power centres and taking over the world ?

According to T3 it's not quite "AH"... after all they passed 1997, only for Skynet to show up later.

Besides, it's screwy anyway. The only way Cyberdyne had a chance of creating Skynet in 1997 - according to the movies themselves - was because they had a Terminator part. So you get a time loop/paradox.

I wonder if every time they send a Terminator back, they're creating a splinter universe... that's why they can't stop Judgement Day. It would also reconcile Stirling's T2 novels with the Young John Conner series et al, if they were parallel worlds rather than the same world being constantly changed.
