With the death of the Shah a short fight for power was won by Jahandar, the second son and chief of the Persian Army. By the summer he will tell the Austrian their lease for the area of Palestine has been revoked and he's asking them nicely to leave. At the same time he's inviting the British to take over the lease under the same terms. The British saw the opportunity involved and accepted. What will be the reactions? Comments?

If I were Hapsburg, I'd just leave, unless planning to fight both the British and the Persians, which seems ill advised after losing the Austro-Drakan war.
They were just leasing the area. It was an interesting idea, but not something worth going to war over.

Why can't Britain ever get a few years of relative peace where we don't have to end up aggravating various nations........

Well, this is a bit different. That is Persian territory, and if they want the Brits in and the Hapsburgs out, that's there business.

Sadly true...more troops for Sviergestan though...we'll pull out in 1899 if thats ok. Also we dont ever want the Zionists back in the empire. keep them, and we'll pull out in 1899...or we can negotiate a different date

Good point. Or perhaps for the Navarrese frontier? ;)

I doubt the Persians will give you that long. Maybe 1895-6.

Why not? Oh well, they can always come visit New Granada. ;)

I suspect you'll have to negotiate for a date earlier than 1899.
