lets say that in 1940 the Germans were secretly reserching on teleportation technolegy, but instede of teleporting to another location on earth, the device opens up a portal to Hyrule from the Videogame Legend of Zelda, ocerena of Time? The germans then decide to conquer this land and rape it of its resorces to use in the war in europe. what happens next?

Link slays Hitler with his sword...

Actually Hyrule, being medieval and all, would be rather easy for the Nazis to conquer... Though would the magic items still work in our world?

Well, he may simply use the Hyrulians as slave workers, as they aren't an immediate threat to Germany like the Jews suposedly were... After all, the Final Solution was reserved for the "major threats" to Germany.

If WWII goes on its normal path in our world we could see the Third Reich retreating into hyrule and end up having the Third Reich in Hyrule. hmm this would make a good story, especially if later in the 20th century the teleporting device is recovered by the americans or soviets.

Of course, if Hitler gets his hands on the triforce...

In both A Link to the Past and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, it was revealed that one who touches the Triforce has all of their wishes come true;

Kind of sounds like the comic, The Oz Squad (Not Australia).

I imagine if the Americans get ahold of the Teleporter & go to Hyrule now called "Neues Deutschland" I bet they would declare war on the Third Reich & try to free the land, though good chance many of the original inhabitants would have been exterminated, especally the non-humanoid races.

Hm, perhaps assuming the Nazis want to kill all of the Hyrulians, they decide that (I assume the portal is of a limited size) constructing gas machines and full-fledged camps in Hyrule is not worth the labor and effort when such camps exist in Poland (Also, IIRC, the Nazis tended to commandeer existing structures for camps, and most of the ones in Hyrule are filled with monsters- Who can be killed, but the Hyrulians are to go first.
So the Hyrulians are led out of the portal and into death and labor camps across the Third Reich. Though Hitler's aides after his death destroy most of the evidence in Germany of "Neudeutschland", as well as hiding the portal, a good number of Hyrulians are found in the death camps when they are liberated. What will the allies do with them?

assuming that the majority of the Hyrulains were murdered either the allies would bring them back to our world to assimulate into society, or rebuild Hyrule.

Hm, well, I'm assuming they can't rebuild Hyrule, though there may be a search for the portal devices. (We've talked about the Americans finding it, what about the Soviets? People's Republic of Hyrule?)
Though you're probably right about the Hyrulians being assimilated into society... A thought, many of the death camps were liberated by the Soviets. In some sort of attempt at creating a Hyrulian 'homeland' on earth, Stalin could possibly turn the Jewish Autonomous Region (Which he booted the Jews out of, though it kept the name) in Siberia into a Hyrulian SSR, and settle them there.

due to the small # of hyrulians left in Hyrule the land would be used by either side of the Cold War to evacuate key personal to & civilians.

Aren't most of the hyrulians elves? So they'd all be blonde haired and blued eyes, so why would Hitler exterminate these "nordish" races

The hyrulians are probably half-elves or some elf-like race. As I remember they all have pointy ears, but some of them are fat. Elves doens't get fat often do they? They mostly lives in the towns and villages.

But in the forrests and other remote places the real elves live I think. In Hyrule lives small faires which I don't think are related to the hyrulians or the "real elves".

Would the nazis really want to ethnic cleansing the whole land? I'm not so sure. Sure the nazis probably would try to use the hyrulians and other life-forms of the land. Maybe Hitler would form an allians with Ganondorf or make Hyrule to a puppet state?

Would the magic in Hyrule be working in our world? If not, good for us. But if it did could the magic and soldiers from Hyrule help The Third Reich win? Would our world turn to the Dark World instead of Hyrule? Maybe Ganondorf could being back all the ghouls, djinns, trolls, blackelves, witches, seamonsters and other creatures?

I know! The Nazis end up stumbling upon Xen and there's a portal storm. The Soviets end up overruning the research facility and a Soviet Gordon Freeman (some NCO or junior officer who has a physics degree or would have one if it wasn't for the war...) kicks ass and takes names and ends up killing the Nihilanth. Unfortunately, the G-Man comes along, and then there's the Combine, and...well...

Alternatively, the US and Soviets fight an interdimensional cold war afterwards, hopping from dimension to dimension hoping to find useful shit to help them in their struggle. They temporarily team up to stop an interdimensional Nazi conspiracy then get back at tearing at each others' throats.

Anyway, about Hyrule and Nazis:

I kinda doubt that the Nazis would send all Hyrulians to the death camps. The population of Hyrule really is not that high, that it would be too large to control. Nor is Hyrule populated densely enough to stop colonisation by Nazis. And if the Nazis really wanted to exterminate all Hyrulians, they could send them up to Death Mountain, and throw them into the vulcano.
The Zoras would most likely stay relatively unharmed. Their hómes are savely hidden behind the waterfall. The Kokiri too would be protected by their forrest, and the Deku tree.

Teams of SS special forces, led by Otto Skorzeny, would search through Hyrule to find clues about the Triforce.
Ganon might see the Nazis as a threat to his power.
Link would lead a partisan movement from the forrest.
Pricess Zelda would be either imprisoned in her Castle, or be taken to earth as a hostage. Would Link follow her and fight his way through the Nazi empire?

I still think the Nazis stumbling on Xen and later causing a portal storm would be funnier.

Okay. Maybe the research facility is in Germany and the Gordon Freeman is, ironically, Gordon Freeman's grandfather, also named Gordon Freeman and strongly resembling him, and also around the same age?

It would probably be an Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, not a full SSR. Probably a similar status to the JAR politically. I might end up with Hyrulian ancestors, as might our other ex-Soviet Bloc members.

The Nazis will have huge problems. Although for the most part the people of Hyrule are too primitive to fight against WWII technology, magic is very prevalent and there are lots of monsters, witches, and magical beings around. Some areas (like the Old Forest and some castles) are likely to be completely inaccessible to Nazis, some of them can be hugely dangerous even for Link and he's a largely pure-hearted young adventurer who's completely at home in his world. There will be lots of Nazis dead or worse than dead in any attempt to conquer anything beyond the central regions of Hyrule. Not to mention the fact that gods and demons actually exist in Hyrule (in other games you actually fight them). Among the monsters - zombies with an almost basilisk-like paralyzing glance, dragons, gigantic spiders, skeleton-monsters, some orc-like pig-monsters, giant lizards, winged skulls, armored knights, giant jellyfish, mummies, land-dwelling squid, ghosts, and giant wolves.

The natives of Hyrule do have knowledge of explosives, too (no guns but they do have bombs, heck the Gorons grow Bomb Flowers and use them in mining). Other weapons include magical swords and shields, the bow-and-arrow (which can launch magical arrows), boomerangs, hookshots, plus your usual middle-age weapons like axes, spears, etc.

Hyrule has a massive number of intelligent species, humanoid and otherwise. (I got this off Wikipedia, btw). This is a LONG list, even though I'm only using one game (Ocarina of Time, the N64 game) and am ignoring potentially intelligent monsters.

Hylians - they're the 'main species', the one that Link and Zelda are both members. Think pale-skinned human with large pointed ears. They're often blonde but can have brown, black, or red hair (which might be indicative of partial Gerudo descent). Possible Hylian love interests for Link: Zelda (of course), Malon. Nazi reaction: I don't know. Depends on if they consider pointy ears subhuman or if they're considered good as Norwegians.

Sheikah - may or may not be just a subtype of Hylian, the few we've seen without shrouds look close enough. They are a warrior people, known for being masters of disguise and being hidden, to the point of it being a magical. Some of them serve the Hylian king. Nazi reaction: see Hylian.

Gerudo - dark-skinned, red-haired humanoids with pointed noses. All female except for their leader - who, depending on time, is probably Ganondorf Dragmire aka Ganon before he turned into a pig-monster. Live in the desert, are known as thieves. They often come into towns, perhaps in an effort to reproduce using Hylian men. Possible love interest for Link: Nabooru, although she's kind of old for him. Nazi reaction: dark skin, nose looks a bit like a stereotyped Jew's, thieves, it can't be good. Unless they come to an understanding with Ganondorf, Gerudo are not going to be treated well by the Nazis.

Kokiri - look like Hylian children, except some have unusual hair colors (like green). They never grow up, living in the magical Kokiri Forest with their leader, the Great Deku Tree. Few or no adults enter the forest or the neighboring Old Forest, as they can very easily become lost and get turned into Stalfos (skeleton-monsters). Every Kokiri has a fairy companion. Link grew up among them. Possible love interest for Link: Saria. Nazi Reaction: they probably won't know they exist for a long time. Nazis go into forest, get turned into Stalfos.

Zora - bluish-skinned amphibious humanoids that live mostly underwater and eat mainly fish. Fairly violent by most standards but in OoT they're good guys. Possible Love interest for Link: Ruto. Nazi Reaction: they might not know at first, then will probably treat them as pests, unless they somehow get it in their head that they're Atlanteans or something.

Gorons - rather large, vaguely human-ish rock beings that eat rock and are rock-hard. It's unknown if they have females, all the Gorons we've met have appeared male and referred to each other as 'Brother'. They live undergound, mine rocks to eat. They're actually rather peaceful creatures despite their appearance. No love interests for Link. Nazi Reaction: think if the Nazis discovered cave trolls. Probably used for slave labor, if the Nazis can figure out how to pierce a Goron's hide (which might actually be bullet-resistant).

Deku - think smart trees and shrubs, some can walk around. Smaller ones are usually enemies that spit nuts at you. The Great Deku Tree, on the other hand, is a guardian. No love interests for Link. Nazi reaction to them: probably think of them as pests to be exterminated.

Fairies - tiny (few inches tall) beings, looking vaguely like colored, lighted balls with wings. At least some are capable of healing people. Possible love interest for Link: Navi (although it's hard to figure out how that would work). Nazi reaction: disbelief at the giant talking fireflies.

Wait, aren't most of the hyrulians blond and etc? They'd probably be drafted.
Anyway, hyrule collapses. Fast. The hyrulians only hope, ironically, is if Ganondorf gets jealous and leashes a magical army of crazyassery on the nazi occupation forces, and drives them out.

@DanielB1: I'm pretty sure that although the Nazis might take appalling casualties in the process, they have tanks. And machine guns...hell, a military armed with firearms, from bolt-action rifles to submachine guns to early assault rifles to machine guns of various types to heavier weapons. And artillery. And air support. And radar and early computers and many other things. I have no doubt that they'd overrun the place.

Hmm...it might be interesting to see them flee into the place after getting defeated post-WWII and sealing the portals behind them, during the war not really being able to invade the place. Maybe some Soviets come in, too...quite a few people. They may or may not remain Nazis. This would have an interesting effect on the place, to say the least.

As for the exact nature of Hyrule, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some kind of artificial world built by someone or something either for research purposes or some practical end, or else for a good laugh. They might object to a bunch of humans fucking around with their little experiment or toy or whatever.

wouldnt Link be considered physically the proper Aryan?

Hell there'll probably say the Hylians are Aryans too, the Kokiri are reminscant of the forest sprits of old Germania;) and the Zora and those other people up on the mountain could be respected for other aspects for example the Zora can of course swim underwater (sabotage Malta anyone or New York Halifax etc, if they can somehow convince the Hylians there in the right, which if they only see and hear what the Nazis want them too.

Link adds guns to his arsenal.... maybe he and others then find out what happens then what...

maybe he kicks the Nazis out, sure he'll win as he's Link but then what does he do come to our world? (whats the basis of TTL is Hyrule like another reality or a country thats somehow been uncontacted.

maybe him and Zelda come through to our world and......... libertate the camps- there's an awful lot of guards and local villagers who are in with this antisemitism thing, maybe he goes to London/Washington... can he actually offer any help, maybe joins the military or a resistance group.

postwar Hyrule can join Middle Earth, Narnia and the Wizards realm (harry Potter) in a mythical coalition:p magic and demons against Nukes and carrier battle groups, maybe they can use their magic to crack world markets:p

Gods = technologically-advanced aliens. Yeah. Works. They have knowledge of genetic engineering and so they can do all that, although "magic" might be harder to explain...perhaps nanotech?

Anyway, I think that the Nazis can open portals to other fictional universes just as easily as to Hyrule. I mean, come on! It would be interesting seeing them going, to, say, Xen. It would be very interesting to play through a Black Mesa infested with confused Nazis who were in Xen but were caught in the portal storms and now fighting for their lives, no? Freeman could kill them all with his crowbar.

Hyrule follows the very common 'triple goddess' theme for its mythology. The three goddesses are Nayru, Farore, and Din. Each of the three pieces of the triforce is associated with them (wisdom, courage, and power).

Nayru = goddess of wisdom, main element is water, main color blue.
Farore = goddess of courage, main element is wind/air, main color is green, also the forest goddess.
Din = goddess of power, main element is fire, main color is red.

The triforce of Wisdom is held by Zelda, the triforce of Courage by Link, and the triforce of Power by Ganondorf. Despite this, it is not implied that Din in any way supports Ganondorf, it's just how the pieces fell when his wish split the Triforce.

I would say Hyrule is most likely no more controlled by aliens than Middle-Earth is, and their deities are 'real' at least to the extend of the world itself.
