HAHAHAHA.
I'd be careful with my claims. China has already been divided up. Unless you have the forces to wrench it from those that have already agreed upon it, I wouldn't get too attached to any one place.
So you know, Indonesia and Indochina are going to be British, along with various port cities.

By Indonesia, you mean "All of Indonesia except for West Papua", right? Or will you be coming into conflict with the Kingdom of Karelia, which does have a rather long supply line... (And if the Baltic is closed to us, an even longer one that depends on warm weather..)

Hm, well, they're in China now too, so maybe they should get a spot on your map...
Jinan (Spanish China)
May, 22
The battle had been the bloodiest that the hispano-philippine army had been involved since the invassion of China. The Imperial army led by the Yaonle Emperor had chosen an immense plain where his cavalry would be able to surround the small Carlist army. He also had a numerical advantage on his side of five to one.
The Carlists had two regulares Regiments, the Irish Volunteers, three Tagalog Regiments and four thousand chinese auxiliary troops. Barely 30,000 combatants. But they had also their artillery, specially the gatling guns. The Chinese Imperial forces did not expect this. They charged confident in their numbers but the hispano-philippines' artillery punished them pitilessly. When the reached the rifle range they were decimated and panic spread through their lines.
King Charles VI of Bourbon, exiled king of Spain, de facto king of the Philipines looked at the lifeless body of Emperor Yuenlai then to the chinese generals that had been taken after the battle and finally to his loyal Regulares:
- I am Carlos de Borbón y Filipinas, true King of Spain, King of the Philippines and Emperor of China!!
* * * * *
The battle, just to call it something, was a carnage where 10,000 chinese died while the hispano-philippines lost 200 regulares, 700 tagalog militiamen and 1,000 chinese volunteers.

May 30th somewhere off the west coast of south America
Lieutenant Lothaire Yannic class of '84, stood at the rail of the troopship. A little ways back several Men were fishing, and by the looks of things there would be fresh fish for diner. He looked out the American Battleships and Cruisers. He could see the troopship carrying his American friend Lieutenant Pershing, and He wished there was someway to talk to him.
By the time the Expedition got to La Plata, the Plague had done most of the work for them. He was glad that everyone of the American and Canadian Soldiers had been Vaccinated. But there just hadn't been much action. Then after a week had come the orders to reembark. Everyone had thought they were going home, till the fleet turned south for the Drake Passage.
Most of the Fleet had turned north , but three Battleships, four Heavy Cruisers, and eight cruisers , where escorting these troopships north west across the Pacific. And. his friend Pershing had a knack for knowing the real Scuttlebutt, from the plain BS.

After being two months in China these were the first Westerners they had seen. Captain Irizondo approached the americans and greeted them.
- So the rumours were true, there are other Westerners around here! Welcome to the Empire of China!
- Are you Spanish?
- Yeah, from the Philippines. We would like to talk to your commander, the new Emperor of China wishes to talk to you - In fact he was not sure there were westerners around, but they needed to trade.
- New Emperor?

The War Minister Lord Fitzgerald was going to be appointed as Governor of China, with the aim of occupying the rest of unclaimed territories. There were already three regulares regiments, the irish one, five Tagalog regts and twenty thousand chinese militiamen. Enough to take control of the territory non-claimed by Russia, Karelia and the British Empire, or at least what he could seize.
His wife, Queen Isabel of Savoy, would remain as governess of the Philippines, and the heir, the young Prince Felipe, would be appointed to his first public responsability: governor of Shangai.

The chinese had proven to be efficient informers. They knew in a matter of days the situation of the russian and british troops in the far West without having telegraphs. Obviously, once territory was consolidated that was one issue to be solved. But at the moment they had to expand further west and they lacked troops. Four columns were marching to the west, each comprised five hundred regulares, one thousand tagalog infantrymen and ten thousand chinese militiamen, the idea was to occupy the provinces of Hebei, Shanxi, Henan and Anhui. The irish regiment was deploying along the coast, and contact had been made with the americans and the canadians who were interested in having some territories there. That would increase trade and would allow for consolidation of the new state.

Foreign Minister Don Ramon Julio Iparralde Gorostiza had finally managed to appoint meetings with russian and british representatives. The new Imperial Chinese Government wished to achieve cooperation agreements with both governments, but it was essential to have at least the british on their side. They needed badly weapons to create a native army, volunteers from Ireland and Spain and international recognition. In any other case they would be in difficulties to consolidate their territory, and they would be unable to effectively occupy the rest of their assigned territory.
Don Carlos had mentioned to him, before leaving for Moscow, that he was considering extending the full citizenship to the Irish volunteers and, probably, to the Tagalog. The chinese would not get it unless they did not convert to catholicism. Don Ramón felt that maybe this would be an unpopular measure, but the motto was "God, Nation and King". In that the Russians were closer to them than the British with their democratic rules. Maybe a wedding between the imperial heir, Don Felipe, and a russian princess could lead to a more intense cooperation.

The representatives of the different provinces had been called by Emperor Carlos. There was a message to be delivered by the tomb of the former Emperor. Carlos looked at the Chinese noblemen. There were old courtiers, fierce looking generals, young functionaries from the Forbidden City, weird clansmen from the west and even some muslim representatives, among them some red berets could be seen of Carlist officers (both Hispanic and tagalong). He talked about the Event, about the will of God, how the mighty lord of Heaven wanted a new world with different parts and how the Heaven had put him, Carlos of Boubon, in China to end the old order by taking the old Emperor with his ancestors. Heavens asked for a new Emperor that could defend them from the Western Barbarians, someone born in the East, very close to the Middle Empire. HIM. He was the one that had received the Mandate of Heavens to lead the destiny of the Middle Empire that would tower again over the rest of nations, astounding them.

Emperor Carlos liked to escape to worries of his world by taking daily strolls through his palace grounds. It was a wonderful day, in full glory of spring. He wonder around the small park getting a little ahead of his guards. His protectors.
Suddenly a man emerged from the bushes on his right. The man drew out a pistol and aimed down on him. The emperor heard the guards shout and the gun fire... and then....
It was a coin toss.... heads he kills the emperor, tails he misses...
heads....
Carlos felt something hit him, as though someone threw a heavy weight at his chest. He looked down at the bloody wound and collapse.
His guards ran up to their dying emperor....
"Take him alive...... get what you need......"
(Im neutral in this, I'm posting this on behalf of a responable party, who can only be discovered by clues through interagation. These clues well suggest any number of things. It's up to you condi to figure it out ;) )

I was going to use a die, but alas I'm moving my room into my sister's abandoned one and I have no idea where one is. However I have a penny on my desk.

If he had no sons, look's like the next emperor according to Chinese-Filipino succession is the 4 year old Archduke Joseph of the Habsburg Empire, eldest son of the Chinese Emperor's eldest daughter

He has a heir, Felipe, who was appointed as governor in Shangai. See the post that described Carlos march to Moscow...
Poor old Carlos. I'll prepare him an impressive burial. I suppose there should be some riots as his loyal Tagalog warriors blame the Gurkhas for the crime of their beloved emperor! The one that made them rule China!
