Idea I got (Since it very unrealistic, and more fun than anything) here the deal.
You write a Point of divergence. exemple
POD (1942) : Nazi manage to crush the soviet Union. A major part of there army is busy occupuying the west of the country, while the Japanese have invaded small the east coast
(you give a short term effect of the divergence, the short them goes from a year to 5 later after the POD)
1944 : The brutals fighting in europe finally ends. The allied succeded to reach Berlin but they have suffer massive casualties. Later in the years the A-bomb is drop on hiroshima(The A-bomb was developped more quickly since a lot more funds were giving into it since it seemed more urgent to build it)
(Now you give a mid-term consequence from 5 to 15 years)
1954 : The world is consider to be in the state of pax america, No one really can challenge the U.S or can actually contest them. The last major battlefield between communism and capitalism been China. But major back-up of Chiang Kai-shek assure a Capitalist victory.
(Now the long term 15 years to beyond)
1974 : The pax america seem to be over for good as third world country fight more and more between each other and Rich country start to build there nuclear armement. The bad political climat make the economy fall into a depression, some expert predict a major economic crash withim the next years.
(So that pretty much sum it all, also the scale between the term can change)
