Now, I don't expect these to ever be finished, let alone get off the ground, and I'm well aware of the reasons mods die. But while playing the For King and Country Mod, I got two ideas:
Both ideas would require heavy scripting. The kind of scripting I would need has been done with different degrees of success.
The first mod idea revolves around the 80 years war.
Factions: Spain
Netherlands
Assorted Dutch states
Assorted German states
England
France?
The second one revolves around certain campaigns of the 30 years war.
Factions: Austria
Assorted German states
Denmark
France
Sweden
Poland
Both mods will have factions that don't have all of their territory represented. Those factions are like that to show that they were outside participants (and Spain too. The Spanish mainland wasn't under threat from the Dutch--besides the occasional raid, but the Spanish Netherlands are Spain for all intents and purposes).
