General Mung Beans is attempting to hijack his own Wiki Page, in spite of his banning. Please use the Revision History to reverse his edits

Yes, because when you think of the obsessed GMB crowd, you think Blue Max.

Full disclosure. I live within one mile of the General, and so if Ian is forced to ISP ban him, I might well not be able to post here at all. I think my interest in this situation is completely reasonable, as would anyone else who might be essentially facing a ban over this asshole.

It's much easier to change it back to an older version than to rewrite a page. I kept reverting Rockingham's page and it upset him to the point that he started calling me names (which I let go without comment), and he gave up. Put simply, it's not anything to worry about.

What is with this dushbag:mad::mad:? I've never really had a run in with him, but I remember some his annoying ass threads. This sucks for you Blue Max, I would advocate for you to curb stomp GMB; but this wouldn't stop the problem, only get you in trouble :(.

Blue Max is Mung Beans! They've got similar IP addresses and their names are the first letters reversed!:p

Well, then again, we could always just reedit his edits to make his edits look extra ridiculous.

I really don't know much about ISP bans, but is it possible to make exceptions?

Revert them yourself and don't make a big flap about it.

If a list of the mungpuppets is what it takes to get him to just shut up and go away then why not? It's just a list. Other sockpuppeteers have them.

Well, to be fair, Hendryks initial edit after his banning had kangaroo court written all over it. As it is, Im reminded kinda of the European ancien regimes, where criminals where put at teh stocks to be humiliated. This is just silly and unnecessary:rolleyes:

Where does he live, again?

I'm unsure of the legality of publicly posting that information. Not joking or kidding about this--I BELIEVE that I do know his exact address, as well as the name of his father. But to disclose such information--and then if something were to happen to Mung Beans--would invite litigation.

I would be willing to share this information with Ian, or perhaps by PM, but I would NOT publicly post it.

Wait, do you actually know his father? Because if you do, couldn't you go over there and say "Hey, you should be careful about where your kid goes on the internet. People might want to hurt him." And then portray this website as something like what parents consider Facebook: a focal point of stalkers and online predators?

If GMB goes and messes with his entry again, should one of us just delete it on him?

Or should we just make a few subtle changes to what he wrote and see if he notices?

Jasen777

Just revert without comment.

I did that a couple of time over the last week or so. You've done it close to a dozen times tonight so far. He's rather persistent.

Reverting works, but actually, it would be nice if we could delete a large number of the older versions (in particular, all of the GMB made versions) so that he can't just revert back to whatever shite he wants us to see.

Why can't we lock it?

That might work too. You'd have to ask Ian.

Just make his entry as cleverly insulting as possible first though.

Jasen777
November 9th, 2009, 04:36 AM
Locking a page won't do anything, he could just move on to other pages. Not that it would matter.

I would be totally against making his page deliberately insulting, other than what the plain facts imply.

I removed all of the references to his sockpuppets from the Hall of Infamy page. If someone thinks that it is a good idea to erase his page, they can go for it.

Yeah, really. If he won't stop his sockpuppetry, and you know his dad IRL, bring this war into the real world. Tell his dad what he's doing, and make sure that the dad makes him stop.

I did that, and then someone restored it. Someone who wasn't GMB.

...

To this day, I don't get why we just don't remove all mention of trolls from the site, USSR-style.

I got rid of the links on the Hall of Infamy index page. I actually left the GMB page alone.

For now.

Probably true, the Ian should just ban that Blue Max character too.

That's why Ian is reluctant to do an ISP ban on the troll, because we'd lose Blue Max's wisdom. I hope AHP doesn't live anywhere near that part of CA...

OK, then it's the fault of the search engine. My bad?

Not your fault, the search didn't find it for some reason and it wasn't on the member list. I used the index to find it.

What you need is to be established. Make some more posts, they say 20-50. After that, you get your edit button any time rather than only for 5 minutes after the original post.
