Lets say a drastic climate change happens and Scandinavia has to be evacuated. There is 9 million Swedes and 4,5 million Norwegians. How will they all be evacuated as fast as possible?

There is the Oresundbridge between Denmark and Sweden, but if Denmark is evacuating at the same time there will be a traffic jam between it and the german border. So how do we fix it?

Here is a few scenarios

1. New ice age, slower than days after tomorrow
2. A day after tomorrow event
3. a Yellowstone supervolcanoevent and the same effects like in Supervolcano

What about a tsunami in the North or Baltic Seas?

Can't we have them drive to Finland?

Since they aren't mentioned in the list of evacuees then maybe Finland would be a safe place.

Recently read that North Sea 'Silverpit Structure' was being re-considered. Now it looks like an impact site... twice 'Meteor Crater' size before erosion ?? Hmm: I wonder if it was a dry hit (glacial) or a wet hit (pre/post) ??

Also, what is the current thinking on the Norwegian Shelf mega-slumps ?? IIRC, the continental shelf sediment may have been de-stabilised by post-glacial clathrate warm-up and/or eustatic rebound...

Perhaps same mechanism that did for island chain a few years ago: quake was small, but prompted a slump that raised a tsunamai...

There's a similar but smaller version operating off US East coast, where turbidity flows rip up sea-floor cables. Didn't AC Clarke use it in 'Ghost of The Grand Banks' ??

Luckily, Iceland does not seem to fall into ocean in miles-high lumps...

Hmm, check Friday 01_April BBC TV 'Timewatch' for possible Medieval tsunamai in Southern England.
Preview was vague: 1953-grade storm-surge or 'event' per Cadiz quake, fire & wave ?? After all, the African Plate is still heading North at rate fingernails grow...

No chance of a major Tsumami - the North Sea and the Baltic are too shallow.

Major nuclear disaster - although that would require Sweden to have nuclear materials within its borders.

Okay..this is limited to Scandinavia? Germany is OK, Britain is OK...just Denmark, Sweden, and Norway have to be evacuated???

So Northern Europe, The Baltics, Russia and Finland need to take in several million refugees....

Will this displace refugees from North Africa and the Middle East?

Just find us a desert somewhere and we will have it blossom in a few seasons...

The dominant Scandinavian asset is the skills of the workforce. So if the Calfornians can build prosperous societies in horrible places like San Diego or Los Angles I'm sure we can do it in Gobi or Kalahari...

Why not put out an international tender "Highest bid for well qualified 19 million workforce!"

We have 11 nucelear power plants, 1 shut down and 1 on the way to be shut down. No city or town want to take care of the waste
