On that note, we are sad to inform viewers that we are letting z go as part of out plan to downsize the alphabet.

The letter z, having been laid off, is currently on a suicide watch.

Lynzie, good choice of thread to resurrect, but how can someone with over a thousand posts still be a noob?

You're clearly a follower of the HerroRegend school of Noob thought.

HelloLegend - believed, for some unknowable reason, that once he hit 1000 posts he was a "valued contributor" and hence invincible. Hit 1000 posts, and promptly started trolling. Discovered the error of his ways.

Post count has no correlation with noobishness.

Neah, he was whacky from the get-go. Claimed Alexander the Great had no impact on history (using a really idiosyncratic definition of impact), espoused some unusual theories on racial characteristics, yadayadayada.

Hey, I'm going by oral tradition here. ;)

...And I want to see the Alexander the great one.

Your wish is my command (http://alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=38809&highlight=Alexander)!

The first gem:

I don't think Alexander left much of a legacy in any conquered area.

It's not like the Indians today are Greek anything.
It's not like the Egyptians today eat Gyros.
And I haven't heard Jewish being affected.

His empire collapsed soon after his death.
And everyone went about doing what they were doing
before he got there.

Yeah, distinctive way of writing, ain't it?

yyva, why are you still using the cumbersome former final letter of the alphabet?

Ah, thank you for explaining. True in some instances, but not what i meant here.

It's just that bumping ancient threads for no good reason is rather noobish. Still, ironic choice in these days of economic instability and the right forum for pointless necromancy.

What's with all this bumbing of old threads?
Blame the noobs.

I guess necro-bumping a thread with a dead poll is a little noobish, indeed...
