...there aren't any requirements to creating one for yourself, right? I'm not going to get in trouble for making one without consulting Ian or anything like that, correct?

Any AH.COM member can create or edit any page they wish, so long as they stay within the same code of conduct they would keep on the Board itself (i.e., no flaming, insulting, spamming, trolling, etc.).
