Depends how big the war is & what nations are involved. For example, it's highly likely that no countries in the southern hemisphere will be touched. Similarly, all of Africa will be left untouched as would India & the Middle East.
So are you suggesting a Russia v USA nuclear slugfest or something else? And if it is something else, what?

In the modern world, I could easily see the Mid East getting nuked...
As for me, I guess retreat to the farm (with Katie in tow, of course). I guess that shithole is good for something after all.

The thing is, though, given the current geo-politics, if a nuclear war did take place, it'd remain local - unless some event takes place that sees the world become bipolarised like during the good old days of the Cold War.

The Chinese invade Taiwan, Dubya says no ways, demands immediate withdrawal, the Chinese say up yous, Dubya says "Is that so?". American troops land on Taiwan, the Chinese use a tactical nuke on an American carrier fleet, the Yanks respond in kind and nuke a Chinese military base, the Chinese start lobbing ICBMs at the US mainland, and pretty soon everything's gone to hell in a handbasket. How's that for an end of the world scenario?

Hassle is in this scenario is that China has only about 30 ICBMs which can reach the USA... So it has problems becoming a major nuclear exchange resulting in massive damage & losses at least in regards to the USA.

France goes bonkers and launches its 250 ICBMs at the USA?
