Is there any way that after 1945, and despite the shock of the Singapore Strategy's failure in 1942 and the widespread perception during the Curtin govt amongst Australians that they'd been abandoned by Britain during the war against Japan, Australia would still have contributed largescale combat forces along the lines of the AIFs of both WWs to assist Britain militarily ? OTL of course Australian land, air and sea forces still did serve to assist british military campaigns in Korea, Malaya and Borneo, but what about other areas where Britain was significantly embroiled, such as the Suez conflict (where the Australian govt, under the old Anglophile Menzies again, was very pro-British) or in other post-colonial COIN campaigns such as Kenya or Aden ? Could Australian forces have also assisted Britain there, and what would've been the impact on Imperial relations generally ? Would there still at the same time have been a great paradigm shift to support US defence interests as OTL ?
