Try saving the file to your computer and uploading it from there.

Too large size maybe? I dont get the PNG hype anyways. PNGs are usually larger than even high-scale JPGs (that is even those JPGs that wont blur).

What it does is reveal a sort of white window with blue bits.....nothing else really.

I havent even selected a picture yet to load up. Its why I havent got around to updating my We'll Meet Again article on Wiki until know; just cant upload the pics....but now ive got time on my hands.....:o

OK... it would help if you chose a picture first :D

1. If the picture is on some website, then what you do is copy the url (the web address), and then on here go to "Insert Image", paste it into the box there, hit OK, and it should be fine.

2. To load an image from your PC, you need to make it an attachment... hit "Attachments", then "Browse", then find the picture you want to load on, hit OK, then on the upload screen you also need to tell it to upload that file. Then close that window, and the picture will be attached to the end of your post.

If you want it placed in the middle of some text, you have to go to the point you want it (having done all of no. 2 above), then hit the "Attachments" button. you should see an attachment number listed. Click on it!

I hope that helps.

What, the stuff from the no. 2 bit? OK...

a) When you're on the screen to make a post ("Reply to Thread"), click the little paperclip button. This is labelled "Attachments" if you hover over it for a couple of seconds.

b) A window which says "Manage Attachments" should come up. There should be two white boxes, one labelled "upload files from your computer", the other, "upload file from a URL". Assuming you are loading it from your computer, you want the first one.

c) Click on the box saying "Browse" at the right-hand end of the white box. A "File Upload" screen will come up, most likely starting off in your computer's Documents folder, or Pictures. In any case, you need to navigate to the right folder, i.e. the one the picture is in that you want to upload.

d) Do that (get to the right folder on the "File Upload" screen), then select the picture you want to load on. Click "Open", or "OK", whichever option you have.

e) When you've clicked open/OK,that window should close and you will be back to the "Manage Attachments" window, with an address for the picture in the white box. Check it's the picture you want, and if it is, click "Upload".

- note that if the file size is too large, it won't be able to upload. You will have to reduce the size in some way, usually by making the picture smaller. Sometimes changing the file type will help, .jpeg seems to be the best overall. -

f) if the upload is successful, it will say so. The "Manage attachments" box should now be showing your picture name under "Current Attachments". If this is what you want to attach, then you just have to close the window.

g) you are now back at the screen, "Reply to Thread", where you usually write posts. Assuming all went well, if you click on the paperclip symbol again you should now get a little drop-down menu with the name of the file you attached.

h) You can either leave that as it is, and the picture will attach to the end of the post... or if you want it somewhere in the middle, you need to click the cursor where you want the picture to go in the post, then open the little drop-down paperclip menu, and click the file name. A code that looks like "[ATTACH]12345[/ ATTACH]" should then appear, though the number will be different.

I hope that helps... if not, I don't see how to explain it more thoroughly! :D
