Thank you Grey Wolf :)

In 1953 Pope Pius XII takes LSD as part of the Sandoz experiments (this is to settle a controversy brought on by widespread and controversial 'revelations' from a similar experience by Teilhard de Chardin)

A week after the scheduled date the Pontiff schedules a full conclave of all the world's Bishops. At this meeting he announces:

1. The Church has been wrong about sexuality for 2000 years. From now on, man's reproductive facility is to be recognized and celebrated as his main God given source of pleasure. Sex is to be encouraged among all fully consenting adults without regard to institutions of marriage. Priests and nuns will be permitted to marry or keep mistresses. All forms of birth control and abortion are permitted. Homosexuality is no longer sinful. The Church will henceforth actively campaign for the legalization of prostitution and all other forms of sexual expression on a world wide basis.

2.The Church will actively support worldwide all forms of revolutionary liberation which do not advocate violence against classes or groups.

3. The Church will start immediate sales of all its collections of Art and Architecture as can be accomplished without damage to world heritage. Upon liquidation, all proceeds will be distributed to the World's poor.

All proclamations having to do with faith and morals are issued, of course, ex cathedra. The rest are under the Pope's Authority as owner of all Church assets. There will be no debate.

What happens next?

Some cardinal sets himself up as antipope, most of the Catholics defect to him, the Soviets get involved, etc. etc. It gets ugly.

BTW, I thought that as well when I saw Grey Wolf's thread... :D
