The current mormon temple replaces the Vatican in 1531. Every mormon missonary is there along with their temples replacing the Cathdreals. What happens nex?

Every single Mormon is slaughtered the moment they open their mouths about what they believe.
A new pope is elected, the Mormon temple torn down, and reconstruction of Vatican City begins. The pope resides in the Lateran Palace in the meantime.

You're making the assumptions that;
None of the Mormons have arms. I don't think their religion forbids it and just one Colt automatic could have a big effect.
The people in 1531 take ISOTs as a matter of routine. Strangely, that seems an assumption about ISOTs here so I'll give it to you.
What would happen if the Mormons had the good sense to keep their mouths shut? They are now a large group of people with a variety of 20thc educations/skills and great social cohesion in 1531
Wasn't Rodrigo Borgia Pope in 1531? I think he'd get on quite well with a few Mormons who were willing to teach him how to make repeating firearms and rifled cannon.

ISOTing mormons. I shudder to think.
aren't Mormons well armed. I alwasy assumed that, since they're awaiting the day when it all goes to hell and they rise up in bloody rebellion? They sure do stockpile a lot of survialist stuff. so they shouldn't be too bad off in the beginning.

Er, Kath & I have rare prize of TWO life-time bans from visits by LDS.
Seems Oliver, our old Siamese cat, had developed a taste for them...
After Oliver put one LDS evangelist in hospital, the area's boss-guy came by to complain. Against advice, he reached to pat...
Strike #1.
Twelve months later, a delegation came to see why we had been banned. Seems they've gone politically correct, so original report was ambiguous-- although the UNPLEASANT box-tick had ripped the paper...
Against advice, he reached to pat...
Strike #2.

Is Oliver scheduled to Sire anytime soon? I want a kitten
What would happen if the Mormons had the good sense to keep their mouths shut?
Yes, I realize there are limitations even in ASB.
One can dream, though.

Regret Oliver was 'chipped & snipped' as kitten... and was (RIP) a VERY big softy except for his taste for evangelists.
We later acquired a pair of five-month Bengal x British Shorthair 'kittens' who'd out-grown their welcome. GingerBits promptly caught & killed a sea-gull on our garage roof, and Charm saw off the local Fighting Tom with one near-subsonic growl...
Fortunately, we're used to cats with character... And, off-duty, they're really sweet, placid, tickle-my-tum, lick-my-nose, sleep-on-my-lap kitties, honest !!
When the LDS came around recently, I had to remind the door-steppers about both life-time bans. They were making their apologies when they suddenly went very pale and fled.
That's when I realised GingerBits & Charm had silently appeared at my side: fifteen lean pounds apiece at fifteen months...
Which reminds me: time to feed them again...

The mormons believe very much in the right to bear arms. But the most important point is that they are out of our timeline! And they'd be considered simialar to Gnostics, me thinks....
