On behalf of the Wiki Task Force, I am announcing the 2008 Wiki Proofreading and Updating Contest. The purpose of this contest is to improve the quality of the Wiki by encouraging users to correct typos, misspellings, and grammatical errors as well as updating pages that have lain dormant for sometime. And yes, there will be prizes, provided by myself (most likely Amazon gift certifications or some such).

The contest will run from now until the end of November. I will do the scoring. I know that "proofreading and updating" covers a wide area, so priority scoring will be given on those pages that have not been updated for a long time (but are still relevant), as well as work done on the timeline and story indexes.

To be counted in the scoring you must post a link to the page you edited in this thread.

Hey, I've been doing some editing but I don't need no prize. Just thought I'd bring some pages to your attention- there are a few that go outside the realm of spelling and grammar errors (which I am capable of); these pages are more incomplete, and could use a little love: under the general alternate history pages list, "Alternate Political Leaders", "Futurology Books", and "Timeline." Don't know if you want to do anything about them, but they've got potential, there's just not a lot to them right now.

Okay, I want a prize now.

I did some serious renovations to the timeline "Alexander the Great Isn't Poisoned" by JP_Morgan (under the Classical Era POD link on the Timelines page), and I'll move on to other pages now in a more serious way, since I'm so nice (and so lonely).
