Keep in mind this is my first attempt.

Nice. Just a couple of notes from an experienced hand. :)

1) Rather than solid black, try using a slightly paler shade (i.e. very very very dark grey). That makes it easier to recolour later if necessary: if it's black, it'll take the borders with them.

2) Purely a matter of personal opinion, but I prefer to leave the sea white so I can use blue as another country colour. Of course, you could do it the other way around.

Otherwise, good work! I'd like to see some more of your handywork, preferably of less nightmarish worlds. :cool:
