This is a map of the world as of 2008, WWII began much as our timeline but ended with a different path.

South Africa split into four Afrikaans speaking nations that formed an alliance with the Netherlands and Flanders. The two English speaking nations formed a close alliance with the United Kingdom.

Israel was carved out of African territory rather than middle eastern.

Blue nations are US allies, Red and pink nations are Soviet Allies and the USSR.

How does this world come to be?

My main question is how did Quebec get independence and become neutral if there is a NATO?

I should have posted more about the countries, white nations are truly neutral, grey nations are kinda, the Swiss should be coloured white.

the grey nations are a third alliance that formed after France had a break with the United States (I guess it could be over the recognition of Quebec). Belgium split linguistically and Flanders joined the Dutch league.

The grey nations form a Latin Alliance against communism, they have created a common currency between member states (which Central American countries have better economies than in OTL France and Italy saw to that).

Arab nations in this world have much larger Jewish population in that there are less of them leaving, greater relations with African Israel.

why is palestine and Jordan seperate? or Syria and Lebanon? 2 minutes after independence they would have joined together.
