I upgraded to xp. Now I get a page with a black rectangle on a white page, as if the site had gone dead. I am using the library computer to post to see if I can get around this. I am wkwillis@intergate.com.
I have been delayed in posting this because I am helping clean up after a death in the family.
Do you have any generic suggestions on what I can do to get the text and images to come back? Has this happened to you?

I had to upgrade '98 SE after browser_PC died, and new mobo's drivers needed later OS. XP_home came bundled with SP2: between its firewall and the 'free' Norton's web-guard, I lost access to *many* sites, lost much functionality from others...

No xp upgrade help. No more ability to read here. This is from a library computer. I can always buy a new computer...and I will in a few weeks.

Your situation sounds pretty strange.

One possibility: are the security settings for your browser set too high?

Or maybe some firewall features in SP2 need to be readjusted?

:(

I'm not an expert; just throwing out some ideas...

Two words: Mo Zilla.

Seriously. I have no problems at all with Mozilla's Firefox browser.....

Maybe this will help. Be something to think about when you get a new machine, too...
