Geghis kahn. He'd be willing to go to extremes of genocide and horror the huns wouldn't touch.

Probably Genghis. He'd have a slight advantage in weaponry, being some 700 years in the future, after all.

Nah. After a bloody, indecisive slaughter, they team up and conquer vast tracts of Asia, then mingle. After several generations, it's impossible to distinguish between Huns and Mongols.

Attila and the Huns. While it seems their actual numbers were unknown, few contemporaries describe it as other than very large. Additionaly, they are known to be composed of several other numerous groups. Also, the period they existed in is acknowledged as one of the most populated during history, other than our own.

The Mongols, OTOH are described by most contemporaries as a rather large but more homogenous and compact group that learned well from its foes but resisted adding them or others to itself. Additionaly, they came from the medieval era, during a period when the entire world is recognized as on the end of a long population decline. Their Empire, while it held together quite well for the time, is also recognized to have finally decayed due to the Mongols being overextended in regard to population.
