IF they Romans get airships, no chance that the Germans will ever become a problem, considering the Romans would have just taken Germany 2000 years earlier.

The zombie ninja motorbikers sound oddly fast, clumsy, and awesome. Being fast AND clumsy is kinda awkward though.

All in all, the Romans just got a lot more awesome.

He's either a bot, or a very lame human. Either way, he's annoying.

Romans had the tech to start making steam engines, supposedly they didn't need the engines because they had slaves.

But the idea of inflatable bags is used in soccer and other games, so that's not the hard part.

I'm guessing the hardest part is Romans who are afraid of heights :p

Wow, a steampunkish story with Romans?

Who knows, they could find a way to make steam a very convinent resource.

Lets sum it up : I agree with you, that the Roman steampunk airships are by far the coolest and most original. Airships ? No. But *Roman* airships - that sounds awesome... ;):D

I heard a Roman engineer recently started experimenting with ramjet engines... :D;)
