The ASB's make enough money appear in the BBC's accounts to be able to afford to buy Marvel and DC. They then put the thought of how wonderful it would be if the BBC included two American comics companies in their organization into the brains of the managing directors.
What happens and how do people react?

They change every messurement to the BBC Messurement System. Everything becomes football fields and double decker busses.

Isn't Superman's "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound" already in BBC measurements?

Isn't being more powerful than a locomotive very open-ended?
Also, what's "tall"? That's vague too, lol.
Ok, that aside. Would measurements be a big deal anyway?

The comics would likely improve, as hopefully they'd fire the idiot chief editors. The WRITERS themselves aren't too bad, but the direction from the top is horrid.
Maybe somehow this will result in Warren Ellis still writing issues of Nextwave and Planetary. *ends fannish hopes*

Superman is 57 timse faster then a double decker bus, more powerful then 3.6 battle ships, and able to jump buildings who are as high as a football field is long.
BBC Messurement is a board cliche.

You aren't applying that a locomotive is equal to three and a half battleships are you?:D

A BBC battleship can range from battleship to coastguard cutter in BBC terms. Or so I'm told.:p

Three very shrimpy battleships, perhaps?

That must get confusing when a WW2 documentary comes on BBC.
