Standard vs battle, with the fantasy worlds of WoT and SoT battling. Three variant scenarios:

*Crossplanar Good vs Evil (Dragonsworn plus D'hara vs Shadow plus Jagang's Empire)

*Unholy Alliances (Each world united against the other)

*All-Out Slugfest (Rivalling factions fighting each other, no alliances beyond those already present in the settings)

Timing is as of Crossroads of Twilight for WoT and Faith of the Fallen for SoT (with Richard arbitrarily back in command of the D'harans). Additional rules: No cop-outs (No Choedan Kal, time travel or bullshit that decides the war in one stratnuke blow).

Bump. Aren't there any fantasy nerds left around? Murazor? Generic SoT haters?

Basically, a fantasy Evil Empire that was taken over by a good guy and became his loyal army.

What I meant was, the relatively good sides. Modern fantasy isn't as black and white as it used to be.

They weren't just peace protesters, though, but also wreckers. They tried to fight off an attacking army unarmed when it attempted a surprise attack.

From the Scene in the Book:Men behind Richard hit the line of evil's guardians with unrestrained violence. People armed only with their hatred for moral clarity fell bloodied, terribly injured, and dead. The line of people collapsed before the merciless charge. Some of the people, screaming their contempt, used their fists to attack Richard's men. They were met with swift and deadly steel.
-Naked Empire, in which evil pacifists are attacked by the Heroes

Usually the prospect of killing unarmed, defenseless people, even if they are too dumb to live, is something that would cause most heroes to look long and hard for a way to take a third option, and if indeed there is no third option, at least consider their deaths to be a regrettable tragedy.

Instead, Richard decides that the pacifists are just as evil as the Bad Guys they are protecting. He and his men immediately slaughter the entire mob. The "battle" is immediately followed by an author filibuster that goes into great detail about why, if you're one of the good guys, you can do whatever the hell you want to the bad guys, no matter how horrible, because, by being bad guys, they brought it upon themselves. After all, you're just defending yourself!

Where as when Rand does something that can considered wrong he is at least willing to acknowledge that and doesn't try to glorify it.

1: There's still Balefire
2: When Shai Tan In the WOT is freed - which is probably several months away in COT , everyone is doomed . Simply put , the war will be meaningless because only the Dark One would ultimately win in this scenario .

think of it this way. someone just killed your child or wife or mother after raping and torturing them. u go to "get them". and a group of unarmed people are blocking your way. they say u have no right to punish this person. they say he cannot be blamed for what he did. (murder your family member). not only that. they say u are immoral to want to punish this person. they u have no right to avenge your family member. what would u do?

would do fight your way through them? i would...
