Suppose that when Chris Columbus arrives in 1492, he "discovers" a New World with the United States as a full-fledged technological superpower.
What happens? For some reason, I don't think the Conquistadors are going to look on the US anywhere near as well as people think they would. And there's such lovely things as Smallpox and all those diseases that are hitting the New World at this time...:eek:
