They wouldn't call it Greek Fire, that's like a Canadian calling Canadian Bacon 'Canadian Bacon' when not talking about American bacon.

The Emperor asked that he run take his men & Sophia and escape this city. Giovanni was appointed Defender of the Empire & tasked with the protection of the legacy of the Romans & Sophia. He was tasked with finding a new home in the Mediterranean so that Sophia could rule. Giovanni thought “What a task this man, my brother in all but blood, has given me.” It was a task he would not fail.

In the Early hours of the morning the Emperor & his new queen were roused, when Sophia was told of the plan she was in tears. “Why must you leave, my love. Can you not come with us?”No he thought I would die before leaving this city. “My love it is not to be, take everything of value. Please be safe”. He nodded to Giovanni; no words were needed after last night. The Emperor embraced his wife, leaving to put on his armour. As he left he said “Καλή τύχη” or Good Fortune.

That was the last they ever saw of Constantine XI Palaiologos. They later heard that his last words were "The city is fallen and I am still alive" and that he tore off his imperial ornaments so as to let nothing to distinguish him from any other soldier and led his remaining soldiers into a last charge where he was killed. The only way the Emperor was later identified was by his purple boots and that his body was decapitated and his head sent across Asia Minor to legitimise the victory. Giovanni’s soliders loaded up the precious items of the empire including the crowns of the Byzantine Emperors. When this was done they were rushed onto the ship and they fled. Sophia turned looking at what had become of her city, the place of her birth. She wept bitter tears knowing there was nothing she could do…for now.

For starters, "defiantly" is not the same as "definitely". The former suggests obstinacy, the latter implies finality.

The title differs totally from the text;an exiled ruler is a sovereign who,for any reasons,is exiled after having been on the throne.If the story depends on afuture offspring of Sophia the cild would be a claimant only.

Just read the whole thing this was more interesting than other more "educated" T.L's I have seen maybe you could take them to Bosporus and rebuild Chersoneus though that would take more than 7000 men.

Like I said this is dead for now, to much pressure to be 100% accurate which as only an enthusiast makes it difficult to write. I would come up with ideas but then find out they were implausible . I gonna try again when i have more knowledge and experience . Thanks for the nice words
