Alternate 1st ICC investigation

The ICC based in the Hague has just been referred its 1st war crimes case for investigation and possible trial, namely by the Ugandan govt of Pres Joseph Museveni against the rebel LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) in northern Uganda for their campaign of kidnapping children as child soldiers and sex slaves. Those LRA sons-of-bitches IMO deserve to be the very 1st war criminals to be investigated for possible trials by the ICC, based on their record of atrocities.

However, could anybody project an alternate case referral for investigation by the ICC ? There've been some demands for action into the US military ops in Iraq (which are all IMO frivolous hogwash), and when the ICC 1st became a reality in 2002, there was speculation that the 1st war crimes investigations conducted might've been re the drug war in Colombia, or ethnic violence in the DRC, Cote d'Ivoire or Liberia.

Any thoughts ?
