The Battle of Kadisiya was the battle that resulted in the eventual collapse of Sassanid Persia, and the Caliphate's occupation of that nation.
Here's a quote from Wikipedia, which I believe shows the WI present here:
At daybreak, a sandstorm began blowing in the faces of the stubborn Persians. Rustam ((who was leading the Persians)) sought personal safety by swimming across a canal running to the Euphrates. He was caught and beheaded. The Persian army then disintegrated, taking terrible losses from the Arabians,
Assume that Rustam survives his attempt to cross the Euphrates, and eventually the Persians manage to drive back the Arabs. Is this enough to allow Sassanid Persia and it's rule in Mespotamia to survive?

Yazdegerd offered to yield all territory west of the Tigris River. When the Arabs declined his offer,
What if the Arabs had taken his offer, and the Tigris became the border between the Caliphate and the Sassanids?

Well it will obviuosly stop the spread of Islam, and Zorastrianism might experience a rejuvenation if the persians end up in a continous culture war, with boths sides raiding each other, looking for weakness. I also wonder what the effect on the Turks and Mogols will be, I wonder what it would be like if a Buddhist Horde invaded Europe and the Middle East.

In the East, definately... But I wonder if there would be more of a push from Spain into France as well. Plus, the Arabs who are denied settling in Mesopotamia have to go somewhere... More Arabs in North Africa, and probably a few more in Spain as well.

The Turks may become Zoroastrian instead...
